Hey! It's so nice to meet you!

My name is Rebecca.

I am a family & wedding photographer, specializing in lifestyle & portrait photography. I love to meet new people, laugh together, and capture honest, raw, and unscripted stories through my lens.

As a mom of 3, I know how precious and fleeting these moments are with our children. I hope you fall in love with these black and white portraits of your family, and use them to display in your home as the most precious, meaningful works of art. (And you can get in the frame too!)

Why Should You Book A Black & White Mini?

The choice to shoot these portraits in black and white is purposeful, removing the distraction of colour to intensify the light, personality, expressions, movements, and subtle mannerisms of each individual.

The quality, style, and sincerity of these images create priceless sentimental family heirlooms to be endlessly enjoyed!

As a mother and a photographer, my heart is to help each person feel seen, loved, and valued just as they are.

"My son got his photos taken by Rebecca for her Black and White Mini Sessions and I cannot say enough good things about our experience! My son is almost 3 and usually shy meeting new people but it didn’t take long before he was being his silly, goofy self and laughing with Rebecca. She was so amazing to work with and the pictures turned out phenomenal! Highly highly recommend!"

FAQ

Why Black & White?

The purpose of these black & white portraits is to showcase each person's personality as purely as possible. No distractions, no frills. Just you, as you are. Seen, magnificent, and worthy.

How Much Do Sessions Cost?

The cost of each session is $250. Each individual requires their own booking.

5 high-resolution digital files of your choice are included from a curated gallery of approximately 15-20 images.

Additional files and prints are available to purchase from the gallery.

Is There A Discount For Booking Multiple Family Members?

Yes! A $25 discount will be applied to each session when you book 2 or more sessions for family members.

Cancellation Policy

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required for each booking. If you need to reschedule your session, please give me at least one week's notice so that I have a chance to fill the spot, and I can transfer your deposit to a later date.

How Long Is A Session?

Each session is approximately 10-15 minutes.

What Ages Do You Photograph?

6 months - 112 years.

This style of photography lends itself well to every age. There is no age limit, however, it is required that babies are able to sit up on their own or hold themselves sturdy in a bumbo chair (please provide your own).

What Is The Turnaround Time For The Gallery?

Galleries are sent out approximately 4 weeks after the shoot. This allows me to pre-edit all of the images so that they are ready to download as soon as your place your order.

How Do We Prepare For The Session?

This is an important point!

Dress in a plain and simple white or black t-shirt so that nothing defines or distracts from expression and natural personality (no ruffles, collars, fancy sleeves, logos or patterns). If you have a question about a specific shirt, please send me a photo of the shirt ahead of time. To allow for the best contrast, I recommend staying away from grey or mid-toned shirts.

Make sure that your child's face is clean before you arrive (many children do not like having their faces wiped, it is best to do it beforehand allowing the portrait process to be a positive experience.) Moisturize their face, arms, and hands a day before the session, and come free of crumbs and boogies!

Hair as natural/simple as possible with no accessories etc.

Remove chipped nail polish and temporary tattoos.

Are You Able To Edit Out Scratches, etc?

Yes! I will remove any temporary imperfections such as bruises, scratches, scabs etc. to the best of my ability. I will never photoshop natural marks, or alter the body shape of any person. Please do not ask me to do this.

What Should I Do While My Child Is Being Photographed?

While your child is being photographed, it is up to you and them if you'd like to be close by or to step away while they express themselves.

The main thing is to allow me to build a rapport with your child, capturing their attention and focus.

Will You Photograph Siblings Together?

I will absolutely photograph siblings together at the end of their individual sessions, however, I can't guarantee group participation. Sometimes it's magic and sometimes it doesn't work out.

Do You Photograph Families?

I do not offer family portraits during these mini sessions.

Please do not ask me to capture family photos during your session. I am happy to book a family session with you on a day that I can give it the proper time and attention.

Can I Purchase Additional Files & Prints?

Absolutely. There are options to purchase individual digital images or the entire collection. Each session includes a $25 print shop credit which can be used towards a wide variety of prints/cards/canvases of all sizes directly from your gallery.
